I faced a flurry of shots in the third period, and stopped each and every one. When it was over, I had only made one (albeit brainless) error and helped the Wings over Columbus hang on for a 2-1 win over the determined Black Ice.

We played decent tonight and we had the necessary speed and energy for the win. A lot of goals in this league aren’t pretty and the one I allowed, which cost us an otherwise shutout night, definitely qualified.

Aside from my ‘asleep at the wheel’ error, we had a mysterious buzzer malfunction just as we crossed the blue line on a breakaway and that took some confidence away from us, but we responded well. They where all over the place, but we kept our cool and we managed to get the win. The win streak is in high gear and adding up!
